From Olfert Dapper's" Naukeurige Beschryving der Eilanden in de Archipel der Middelantsche Zee"1688. Double page, folio, verso blank. Good impression. Centre fold split to lower margin [40mm ] entering printed area 20mm. Some creasing at the same point. Folded to fit folio. Margins ample.

Dapper cites the author of the map as Marco Boschini, however it is in a laqrger format than the map which appears in Boschini's Isolario of1658 [ see Zacharakis map no 590/392]which is only 180x280mm. In the map here more mountains are engraved in Beotia and also the script of the title is enlarged. The earlier version does not have any ships below the Island.
